Golf del Sur opened in 1987 with a professional golf tournament and has hosted the European PGA ‘Open de Tenerife’ four times. Pepe Gancedo designed the layout which was later modified by Manuel Pinero. Pinero enhanced all the natural, protected areas that surround the 27 holes, between the ravine, highlighting the beautiful indigenous flowers; cacti, palm trees and other large colourful plants.
Golf del Sur course is known for its difficult holes 3 (par 5 ) and 4 (par 4) on the northern part of the course. The course has 27 holes and an interesting layout with its black volcanic sand bunkers and wide fairways. Its wide paths are flanked by an impressive ravine of coloured rocks where spectacular indigenous cacti grow with views of Mount Teide. The entrance onto the green for the second hole (par 3) is surrounded by a large bunker of black sand which requires a great deal of accuracy.

In the centre Playa de Las Americas, one of the most famous holiday resorts in the south of the island, Golf Las Americas stands out for its fantastic location in a natural amphitheatre. This course opened in 1998 and is located within the area of Playa de Las Americas he sea with superb ocean views of the island of La Gomera.
The designer, John Jacobs, gave priority to the obstacles on this 18 hole, par 72 course, which covers a total of 6039 metres. Golf Las Americas offers a good test of golf as water comes into play on eight holes. The club house is an architectural gem with comfortable balconies offering excellent views of the golf course.

Centro de Golf Los Palos is a nine hole, par 27 golf course and it is also a beautiful colourful garden. Virtually on one level and featuring refreshing water obstacles of lakes and streams, it's perfect for beginners or for improving your short game. There are plenty of challenges to be encountered over its 914 metres: five holes are affected by water and others require very accurate hitting.
The course has a slight inclination is surrounded by amidst banana trees it is the perfect place to spend a couple of hours on a round of golf, or become familiar with the game. Golf Tenerife 'Los Palos' is the perfect golf facility for those wishing to golf for an hour or so. Businessmen, pressed for time and unable to get in a full round elsewhere relax here and mingle with families whose children are taking their first steps in the world of golf.
Opened in December 1994 and designed by Integral Golf Design, José María Olazábal's company, it boasts a lovely terrace overlooking the entire golf course.

This Donald Steel course has spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean especially at the 5th hole – certainly one of the most spectacular on the course, truly a gem for golf lovers. The sea becomes a fairway, you are sometimes obliged to drive the ball over the waves onto the next green!
Palm trees, cannas indicas, Canary pine trees and obstacles liven up your round of golf at this course, which also boasts fantastic views of Teide. Amarilla Golf club has a pitch and putt course, a swimming pool and a horse riding club.
